Third company out for the same leak above our fireplace. The first two caulked it. These guys pulled the shingles back, showed me the counterflashing was just stuck to the brick, cut a proper channel into the mortar and rebuilt it. Two wet springs later and nothing.

They put the per-sheet decking price in the proposal before the roof was open, which no one else did. Ended up needing eleven sheets and the invoice matched the math exactly. Also found our soffit vents were packed solid with insulation and fixed it.

After the April storm they marked test squares on every slope and photographed the gutter aprons and the vent hoods. Our adjuster approved the full replacement on the first visit. I have been through this before and it was not that easy last time.

Honestly expected to be sold a new roof. They said we had about seven years left, replaced two pipe boots and a section of valley, and charged a few hundred dollars. Told me to call after the next big hail. That earned the replacement job whenever it comes.
